Way down in the corner,
where no one could see,
they found a weak spot
by the old spruce tree...
The Belted Galloway cattle of
Aldermere Farm in Rockport, Maine, kick up their heels
and traipse to Rockport Village on a
sunny afternoon.

Thomas Block (1951-2017) had his first one-man show at a gallery in Connecticut while he was still in high school. He went on to become an award-winning art teacher, named Art Educator of the Year by the Maine Art Education Association. After teaching, he continued to work in a variety of mediums — oils, watercolors, pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, egg tempura, sculpture and mixed media. As an illustrator, Tom collaborated with many book authors. This was Tom's fourth book with Paige Pendleton.
