Matt Banner, on the run from the Florida law, ends up in Maine leading a team of five divers mapping the bottom of Casco Bay outside Portland, Maine.
Mystery and death come swiftly after one of the divers surfaces with a huge gold and emerald pendant. In a race to clear his name, Matt runs into Lee Thomas McCall from Montana. Who is she? What is her connection to the fabulous treasure? Can she trust this guy with the murky past? Ben Thomas is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and holds a master Maine Guide and ham radio license. For ten years he flew small airplanes, landing in remote lakes and ponds. Over a five-year period, he published three books on whitewater canoe paddling on Maine Rivers. Until Code Breaker there have been few current youth and young adult adventure yarns based here in Maine.
