Colors of Maine shows a beautiful scene of Maine for each of the 10 colors that children will learn. If the readers already know their colors, they will appreciate the charming illustrations of Maine which emphasize all of the basic colors of the spectrum. They will enjoy discovering all of the details on the page which have a specific color. With Thomas Block’s exceptional drawings and the rhyming catchy text by Davene Fahy, boys and girls both will be drawn to the story over and over again.
Davene Fahy is the author of three previous children’s books : Charlie Who Couldn’t Say His Name, Anthony Best: A Picture Book About Asperger’s, and The Boy Who Thought He Was A Plane. Davene lives on the coast of Maine with her husband-the writer Christopher Fahy.

Thomas Block (1951-2017) had his first one-man show at a gallery in Connecticut while he was still in high school. He went on to become an award-winning art teacher, named Art Educator of the Year by the Maine Art Education Association. After he retired from teaching, he continued to work in a variety of mediums — oils, watercolors, pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, egg tempura, sculpture and mixed media. As an illustrator, Tom collaborated with many book authors.
